A week in images: day 13

February 8, 2013 by allsho

A blade of light came in this morning, as I opened the window in the children’s room to let some fresh air come in.

It collided against the bookshelf, with an almost audible crash.

The old seagull (yes, he’s one of our many pets), who was dozing off, woke up with a start and flew away looking for a safer place to go on with his restful activities.

And I was able to capture all of this. I’m improving, eh?

Home sweet home, today.

Home sweet home, today.

But today, double treat: going to work, more or less in the same spot as I stopped on day 11, I was surprised by the clearness of the air. It happens quite seldom, as our plains are among the smoggiest in the world. So this morning this was the sight.

Not far from home sweet home, today.

Not far from home sweet home, today.

And in case you are wondering, that white blur in the distance is snow. On the Alps. Not less than 150 kms away.

Cheers.
