I’m taking part in some photographic challenges (if you click here you’ll end up among all my attempts), and I am really having fun.
I wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge: a theme that could go on for a while, that would force me to look around with a camera in front of my eye, something out of the archives.
So, why not colours. I’ve seen many interesting things while visiting your blogs, folks, and, yes, I’ll take up this little project. At least one post a week, each week one of the seven colours of the rainbow.
Starting this present week, with red.
Red as a carnation.
I bought some plants at the supermarket a couple of weeks ago. In our family the gardening skills are next to nought (at least talking about the grown-ups: we still have hopes for the children, that is we hope gardening doesn’t come with genes).
Especially because of our lack of time, we start with forgetting to water them, or that we already watered them a lot, and then things start happening to them: leaves turn brown (why? too much water or too little?), or fall, insects appear (yes, I’ll take care of that… yeah right), insects appear and eat, insects appear and lay eggs, and so on.
Those carnation vases were cheap, colourful, expendable after their healthy looking start.
Well, they are still there, whatever their fate is going to be (you don’t really need a lot of fantasy to imagine what their fate will be eventually, do you?). And that is enough.
