“Vibrant” is a word that does not belong to my vocabulary (and thence to my photography archives) since maybe five years ago.
It’s not a matter of translation.
It’s just that since the birth of the first of my two children, there is no room for vibrant in my life. Relax is the word.
Especially when we go somewhere interesting, that is when it’s least likely that I forget my camera back home, the chance that I run across vibrant atmospheres is improbable.
And yet, last year in May we were in London. Vibrant London. And as we walked through St James’s Park we could perceive the energy and liveliness of an ever waking city.
Or more probably it was our children’s enegies we were carrying along. See what I mean?
