So, today my wife calls me office-to-office: “I hear next week is going to be real hot”.
Yes, she said “real hot”.
And if someone who grew up within ten degrees of latitude from the Equator says “real hot”, I’ve learned to take it seriously.
“Ok”. No, I didn’t say “ok”, I said something else but let’s pretend.
“Ok, so what do you propose? I am planning to go camping with #2, his birthday gift, remember?”, said I.
“Well, can’t we all go somewhere together?”, she says.
I think I mumbled something like “I’ve got no time to look for anything today”. My lack of enthusiasm must have something to do with the fact that next week it’s going to be real hot and we are planning for the upcoming weekend.
Anyway, once home, we looked for solutions. This one is too expensive, this one let me write them an email, this other one is down in the valley it’s going to be hotter than home, and so on.
In the end, this is the place we plan to get some fresh air on Sunday.
Together with, I suppose, a lot of people.
There was a plan for Saturday as well, but I don’t think I understood it properly.
And, above all, what’s the plan for next “real hot” week?
