Let’s revive this thread as well!
It’s difficult to say this is really yellow. The picture came out yellowish, so some light with a wavelength about 580 nm must have been around.
Sorry if I speak wavelength, but this was taken at the Museum of Science, London, so I feel justified.
Oh yes, it was a hit. This aeroplane particularly, but the whole museum: big success (with my elder boy).
After spending three hours visiting every possible installation, we went to the souvenir/scientific gift shop where he showed me every single item, saying: “no, I prefer this one”. Eventually he was almost convinced to get a pocket atomic force microscope, and I was getting myself in the line to cash out, but he grabbed the package from my hand and ran away disappearing in the crowd. I got a bit worried, more than for losing him, for fear of finding him under a pile of boxes containing expensive and extremely fragile scientific tools fallen on top of him. But he eventually emerged with a different box in his hand: I can’t say I chose for him. It was a weather observation kit.
It still is, actually, and this is my success: preservation for about a week.
Autumn is coming, there’s a lot to observe ahead…
