As I was saying yesterday, my Greek memories involve the sea especially.
Like Monemvasia, a rock in the sea with a village and a castle on top, connected to the mainland via a narrow strip of land, and from where anything you look at, or you take a picture of, includes a glimpse of the blue sea all around.
Or the island of Elafonisos, next to Neapolis, Laconia. A swimming pool-like bright blue from the ferry (and I mean a ferry boat with cars in it, needing kind of deep waters to dock and sail) port in Viglafia to the island.
I think my favourite picture, even if it’s nothing worth mentioning from a technical point of view, is the one I took when our ferry was getting out of the Igoumenitsa bay. The sea was capturing the greens of the trees on the land and the blue of the sky above, and blending them among the waves.
But of course I cannot show you all my sea photographs here… there will be other challenges to display them, don’t worry! 🙂
