I had the impression that this arch I was passing next to every time I was here in Barcelona must have an interesting story.
Then I saw its shape on the Faculty’s letterhead.
So I asked about it.
“Hm, I think it must be one of Gaudí’s pieces”, said J. “All these grounds belonged to the count Güell, and he was one of Gaudí’s sponsors”.
It wasn’t easy to find something, and I had to end up in Viquipedia, to find this piece of information confirmed.
The battery was dying and my taxi was waiting to take me to the airport, but I managed to take this picture, on the last minute of my last (probably, at least for the near future) trip to UB.
