Cee, I know this challenge is completed, but I finally found the right picture here in my messy order.
This one was taken in Greece. We were guests of a friend in a small house he has in Lakonia. We were up on a hill and around us there were just a few other houses and loads of trees: olive trees, fig trees, pear trees.
The mayor of the village, Panagiotis, and his wife especially, Kaliopi, were so warm in welcoming us. Every evening, coming home from the beach or our wanderings in search of caves, monuments, spectacular sights, we would find a small basket full of pears and figs in front of our door. Friends of a common friend, but we were strangers and foreigners all the same.
And all we could see around us was either green or blue. Blue far and up, green down and near. Except when it was soft pastels, but that’s going to appear tomorrow in another vintage Fun Photo Challenge.
So, this is down and near…
